Spring 2003
It seems that finally after a very long and unforgiving winter, spring is
finally upon us. As the month of May approaches, so does the end of the third
year of “Ready To Teach” Implementation Grant funding.
We are fortunate that we have been able to accomplish quite a great deal
with technology integration, especially this year with the ongoing Faculty
Enhancement Project. A number of our Graduate Program in teaching faculty
are engaged in projects that will enhance their courses with technology
so that future teachers will be taught by professors that are modeling
the use of technology.
During this year, RTT staff and partners have had a number of opportunities
to disseminate project products and findings. Among these, the major endeavors
were our Collaborative Exchange Visit in November 2002 and our attendance
and presentations at the SITE (Society for Information Technology and Teacher
Education) conference in March 2003. (See related
article)
We are looking forward to our Design Team Showcases next month. These
will be held on Monday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 21 from 3:30-5:30 PM
at Coburn Hall, South Campus. Topics are as follows:

The “Ready To Teach” project
is requesting a no cost extension so that we can complete our work
with the faculty in order to make a true
and lasting change with the infusion of technology throughout the
education curriculum at UML. Our goal is also to disseminate products,
evaluative
information, etc. that we have gathered during the course of the
last 4 years of work with PT 3.
